So I was able to grab my drug dealers grower, the dude apperantly lives up by powerline road, all the way at the end, it's really spooky dead trees blairwitch project status. Anyways the point is I stayed here for the night and it was excellent, would stay again!
My son and I have ate here on numerous occasions while riding our ATVs in the Flambeau forest and had great service by the husband-and-wife that own this establishment and great food. Unfortunately I chose this evening to take my girlfriend up there for her first experience and it was horrible. Instead of the owners there were actually two young ladies up front leaning against the bar when we walked in at 4:28pm and they just stared at us and did not greet us or even acknowledge us. I asked them if they were still having their prime rib New Year's Eve special at 4:30pm and one of the girls responded and said not for another 15 minutes and and that was it. She made no offer to have a drink or have an appetizer or have a seat and wait so I politely told her thank you and we walked out. According to their website they were going to have a prime rib special for New Year's Eve beginning at 4:30 and then have entertainment during the evening. We would have loved to have stayed but they acted as if we were bothering them as compared to giving great customer service as the owners typically do and making us feel welcome. Unfortunately this will be my last visit and I will make sure and let everyone know of our experience.

Lawson service and friendly people and the food is outstanding
Came in for the Friday fish fry, and had the pan-fried walleye. Friends had the cod, and others had burgers. No one finished. The portions are good sized, and very well prepared.
